CSS Staffing has an open position with our direct local client for a mid level Power BI Developer to develop a framework, structure, standards, and processes for reporting, analysis, and data provisioning.  As a Visualization Power BI Developer, you will be a key member of our Team. This position will provide hands-on architectural and technical expertise to develop, implement and help govern reporting and analysis visualization standards across the Organization.


Core Responsibilities:

·         Build out enterprise reporting solutions for Division and Function stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Senior Business Leaders

·         Partner with IT and business partners to define requirements and design data visualization solutions

·         Work with business partners to define ways to leverage data to develop platforms and solutions that generate business insights to drive growth

·         Understand relational databases and data analysis, data models, data extracts, and reporting in context

·         Support the development of predictive models and statistical analysis to support current and future business needs

·         Leverage Power BI functionality (parameters, actions, tooltip modifications, etc.) to create analytical dashboards

·         Develop ad-hoc reporting for diverse business problems including product development, customer acquisition, enterprise risk, financial reporting, and process improvement

·         Execute data queries across multiple data sources in support of business intelligence reporting needs. Format query results/reports in various ways

·         Design, develop and maintain Power BI self-service reports and dashboards, identifying KPIs to let business answer drivers of results, predict future outcomes and/or perform what-if analysis


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

·         4-6 years of relevant work experience

·         3+ years of experience working on reporting and analytics projects

·         2+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI and the use of data stored in various platforms

·         Experience using of visualization best practices

·         Visualization experience around building Reports and Reporting templates using data from various sources (Structured/Non-Structured data)

·         Experience reading and building data models

·         Hands on experience creating self-service tools/dashboards used to perform what-if analysis, predict future outcomes and highlight drivers of business results

·         Experience with migration of data

·         Experience with DAX and SQL and leveraging within Power BI

·         Hands-on experience with analytics deployment in the cloud, preferably with Microsoft Azure

·         Demonstrable skills around analytical thinking, problem solving and conceptual skills

·         High level understanding of data governance and data quality processes

·         Strong interpersonal skills to lead and work on cross-functional project teams comfortable communicating to lead technical resources, business SMEs, and project sponsors

·         Ability to work independently, establishing strategic objectives, project plans, and milestones
