IS Security Audit Analyst

CSS Staffing has an open position with our direct local client for an IS Security Audit Analyst. This position is responsible for analyzing information that is gathered by multiple systems to secure the companies data and infrastructure. Contract or Direct hire - Candidates must be eligible to work in the US on a W2 basis without sponsorship or visa transfer

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

      Audits and tracks access to Company data and applications and reports findings to management

      Performs security reviews of 3rd party vendors. This includes physical site reviews of data centers

      Assists in developing, testing, and implementing security plans, products, control techniques, and procedures in accordance with Company security policies

      Maintains security policies and procedures and researches, recommends and implements changes to procedures and systems to enhance data security. Experience with the following frameworks preferred – NIST Cybersecurity Framerwork, CIS – Critical security Controls and COBIT.

      Maintains awareness of up-to-date regulatory requirements, changes and proposed enhancements.  Regulations and laws include:  Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Sarbanes Oxley Act, Massachusetts State Privacy Law 201 CMR 17, New York DFS, SEC Cybersecurity Requirements, FINRA Cybersecurity Guidance, PCI Compliance and HIPPA Compliance.

      Assess the exposures resulting from ineffective or missing control practices

      Weigh the relevancy, accuracy and perspective of conclusions against audit evidence

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

      Associate degree in computer related field and/or equivalent job experience 

      3+ years’ experience working in the cybersecurity field with experience with internal and external audits

      3+ years’ experience supporting varied computer networks and protocols.

      2+ years’ working in a medium to large business environment

      CISA – Certified Information Systems Auditor certification preferred

      Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner

      Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

      Ability to pay close attention to detail

      Ability to be at work on a regular basis to support normal business hours.

      Knowledge of security devices and technologies such as: firewalls, intrusion detection systems, port scanners, vulnerability scanners, sniffers, malware management systems, email filters, encryption technology, and internet technologies

      Knowledge of multiple network protocols such as: TCP/IP, TCP, UDP, and well-known ports on each.

      Broad-based working knowledge of networking, application, database, infrastructure and/or server administration

      Ability to travel and work remotely when required

      Skill in effective verbal and written communications

      Must be resourceful, creative, innovative, results driven, and adaptable

      Solid problem solving and analytical skills
