Sr. Java Developer

Omaha, NE Local/regional candidates preferred, must be able to attend an on-site interview

 

 

If you are a Java developer with 5 to 7 years of experience with J2EE we would love to talk to you. Our Omaha client is dynamic and energetic leader in their industry and is looking for a Sr. Java contractor to help with an important initiative. Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop the technical solution 
  • Collaborate with the Solutions Architect and Technical Lead to update technical designs 
  • Work with the Delivery Manager to ensure the correct technical tools are used effectively 
  • Partners closely with Testers and Delivery Managers to ensure User Stories are refined and in a ready state for Sprint Planning 
  • Works with Testers to understand defects opened and resolves them in a timely manner 
  • Utilize debugging skills to support production issues 
  • Provides on-call support 
  • Provides regular updates on work progress 

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other technology-related field or equivalent number of years of experience
  • 5-7 years of experience with technical programming and configuration 
  • 5-7 years of experience with J2EE 
  • Hands on experience with Spring Framework, Spring Web Services 
  • 5-7 years of experience with MS SQL Database 
  • Hands on experience with JSON, JavaScript 
  • Experience with IDE like Rational Application Developer, Spring Tool Suite, Eclipse 
  • Experience with Application Servers like Websphere, TC Server 
  • Experience with Test Driven Development, Junit, Mock objects 
  • Demonstrated ability to increase software quality within dev ecosystem 
  • Ability to understand the technical needs and wants of team
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and prioritization techniques within competing interests 
  • Ability to reason and communicate effectively with business unit 

 

Desired:

  • Experience with Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Micro Services 
  • Experience with Git, Concourse, SVN, SoapUI 
  • Experience with SOAP, REST 
  • Knowledge of and experience with Windows and Linux Operating Systems 
  • Experience with agile methodologies 
  • Experience with Case Management, Document Management, Business Process Workflow

  • Assignment Length: 3 month contract
