UX Architect

Have you spent over 10 years wowing customers with your UX designs? Our direct client is looking for a proven leader in UX to take their enterprise to the next level. You will be responsible for leading a team of highly-qualified UX specialists, identifying applications for UX throughout the company, and applying your knowledge of user-centered design methods, human-computer interaction and industry best practices to drive useful and usable design solutions. The team identifies opportunities for innovation, conducts user research, performs benchmarking, and designs the user experiences and interactions while facilitating a vision of UX across the enterprise.
Core Responsibilities:
· Influence the direction of projects, policies, and initiatives
· Lead a team of highly-qualified UX specialists
· Identify, prioritize and allocate resources for UX projects
· Develop and implement solutions for unique and complex problems where there may be little to no existing precedent
· Effectively communicate conceptual ideas and detailed design rationale both verbally and visually
· Work closely with cross-functional teams that may include developers, system architects, project managers, business analysts, subject matter experts, and product owners
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
· Strong communications skills (both oral and written) including excellent public speaking ability and presentations
· Experience in forecasting, prioritizing, and advocating UX initiatives across all levels of a company
· Ability to design and create amazing user experiences
· Experience in a gamut of UX techniques including usability testing, contextual inquiry, personas, journey maps, cognitive walkthroughs, heuristic evaluation and other UX methods
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in the UX field
· Portfolio of work demonstrating skill in creation of user-centered design solutions
Desired:
· Industry presence whether that be through social media/blog posts, organizing industry groups/events, presenting at industry/academic conferences, or UX book authorship
· Experience working on large-scale employee-facing and customer-facing design solutions
· Experience working in an Agile project management environment
· Skilled in Axure RP, Sketch, and/or other related design software
· Masters degree in Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology or a related field
