Engaging Senior Java/Spring Developer with ability to Mentor

Omaha, NE

 

 Direct hire - candidates must be eligible to work in the US on a W2 basis without sponsorship or visa transfer

 

Core Responsibilities:

·         Consults/collaborates with the business to ensure clarification of business requirements

·         Designs, configures, develops, integrates, tests and deploys technology solutions to meet business requirements

·         Mentors less experienced technical resources

·         Engaged in ongoing growth and development in the area of technology while promoting the stated application strategy

·         Optimizes processes for effectiveness & productivity

·         Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality in accordance with the expectations established by your supervisor

·         Performs other duties as assigned by management

·         Works overtime as requested by management

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

·         Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in Spring and Java

·         Demonstrated successful experience in multiple technologies

·         Apache-Tomcat, JMS, JSP, Java, Web/Portal, Linux, Windows

·         1 or more years JSP, JSON, MVC, JMX, SQL, Web Services/REST, and agile

·         Source control knowledge required, understanding concepts such as check-ins/outs, branching, shelving code and versioning with GIT

·         Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (or similar RDBMS), understanding the basics of working with a database in a development environment

·         Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines on multiple concurrent tasks

·         Ability to work with varying technical tools required to fulfill responsibilities; ability to quickly adapt to changing technologies

·         Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

·         Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information effectively to both IT and business audience; demonstrated ability to work in and lead an interdisciplinary team

 

Desired skills:

·         Insurance Industry experience

·         1 year HTML5 and Angular
