 Junior SQL Database Analyst

Omaha, NE


CSS Staffing is seeking a Junior SQL Database Analyst for our direct local client.  This role is to analyze, design, develop and support data manipulation, data definition, data control, and transactional control for Microsoft SQL Server databases. This individual is also responsible for working with the Senior Database Administrator in supporting database policies and procedures to ensure the security and privacy of data throughout the enterprise. Will also work closely with application development teams and assist in completion of Project tasks.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, Design, Develop and support database access to enterprise level applications
  • Provide Enterprise Application data access via ETL
  • Perform DML and DDL performance tuning
  • Implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and privacy of data to the enterprise.
  • Batch loading of data, modeling, mapping , data conversion, import/export between multiple data repositories
  • Collaborate with the application development teams and Database Administrator to ensure standards for database development and databases
  • Monitor database system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A comprehensive understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Knowledge of database structure and database analytics
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks, changing priorities, and meet deadlines
    • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
    • Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven experience in design and development of reports
  • Strong experience with the Microsoft SQL stack, including DML, DDL, DCL, TCL, stored procedures, Transact-SQL, and SSIS required
  • Sound knowledge and experience working with application and T-SQL database design practices, including the use of data modeling tools
  • Experience working with Microsoft’s .Net Framework, Visual Studio, and TFS a strong plus
  • Deliver solutions for application database integration utilizing ETL
  • Ability to discuss user requirements and understand the business use of technology
  • Demonstrated experience working with and supporting development teams, particularly web development
  • Experience with transactional data modeling
  • BS in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent work experience

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Direct Hire or client will consider 3-6 month contract to hire for qualified individuals
