 Sr. Systems Analyst - Big Data Developer

CSS Staffing has an opening for a Sr. Systems Analyst – Big Data Developer. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a progressive industry leading organization. The role will be focused on managing application services, innovation and exploring new technologies like Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligences, Robotics and Data Analytics. Location for this position can be either Omaha, NE or Chicago, IL.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Provides oversight to delivery of development in project areas like Analytics, Big Data, Digital Marketing and Digital Supply Chain and leveraging concepts and methodologies like Agile, Design Thinking and DevOps.
  • Leverages skills to drive optimization and continuous improvement, partnering with 3rd Party vendors to deliver services, manage application assets and financials. 
  • Leads and helps determine product prioritization and technology roadmaps with development vendor resources and integration resources. 
  • Influential in determining solution paths for both technical and business problems.
  • Recommends process changes and system solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Works collaboratively with Data Scientists, business and IT leaders throughout the company to understand Big Data needs and use cases.
  • Partners across IT and the business to support Agile application development, file systems management, DevOps and short-cycle iterations to deliver continuous business value.
  • Oversees and provides guidance to IT outsourcer for application administration, development and configuration.
  • Develops and maintains a deep working relationship with IT support partners to ensure the right focus and outcomes for Production Support, CPI’s, KPI’s and SLA’s.
  • Executes timely and accurate time tracking of all work hours and contributes to accurate estimation of work activities and tasks.


The successful candidate will possess the following skills:     

  • 5 or more years of experience with Data Warehousing, Big Data and Analytics required.
  • Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Scala, Flume, Sqoop, HBase development tools preferred.
  • Versed in Project Management, Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated individual and team success.

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract to hire - Candidates must be eligible to work in the US on a W2 basis without sponsorship or visa transfer
