Sr. Business Analyst - Project Management

Omaha, NE



CSS Staffing has an open position with a local client for an experienced Business Analyst with Project Management. If you are an experienced Business Analyst and have been responsible for coordinating project details and preferably with experience dealing with financial applications, your skills will be highly valued and you may be an important member of an application development team. Primary Job Responsibilities:

        Identify and coordinate project assignments among internal and external resources

        Determine objectives by studying business functions, gathering and evaluating information

        Work with project stakeholders to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve processes and systems

        Review, analyze and create detailed documentation of business processes and systems including workflows, business requirements and related documentation

        Participate in project risk analysis 

        Coordinate the creation of business, functional and technical requirements for specified applications

        Review project documentation with IT project staff to ensure business requirements are adequately reflected in technical planning documentation

        Help project lead(s) ensure project progress by helping track activity and resolve problems

        Coordinates development to achieve desired system results

        Defines, develops and implements quality assurance practices and procedures, testing plans and other QA assessments

        Assists with the identification of training and communication requirements for the business unit(s) and external stakeholders. Work with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to meet these training and communication needs

        Provides leadership to instill a team oriented, results driven team atmosphere

        Coaches and mentors stakeholders in business analysis

        Serve as process change analyst

        Create user documentation for technology products and applications

        Perform ad hoc issue resolution 

        Adaptability with using various project management methodologies including: waterfall, agile, etc. 

        Develops effective reporting tools 

        Review project documentation for other project leads

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
  • 4 - 6 years business analysis experience 
  • 2+ years operations experience
  • Ability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously
  • Skill in utilizing various software packages such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Project, and Visio 
  • Ability to be at work on a regular and predictable basis
  • Ability to build consensus and support for ideas and initiatives
  • Ability to collect and analyze complex data, evaluate information and systems and draw logical conclusions
  • Ability to create and deliver training presentations
  • Ability to develop expertise in documentation tools
  • Ability to effectively communicate in person, via telephone, and/or by email with customers,  co-workers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks in pressure situations in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to resolve problems and make rule-based decisions
  • Ability to review and revise processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of and belief in the Quality improvement process
  • Skill in operating various office equipment and utilizing various software packages (database and project management)
  • Ability to effectively function as a team player
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to pay close attention to detail
