Systems Performance Engineer

Omaha, NE

 

Direct hire - Candidates must be eligible to work in the US on a W2 basis without sponsorship or visa transfer

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Systems side experience focused on making the applications run better: sys admin troubleshooting (how systems work, memory leaks, CP, complicated environment), java, cache, data services, enterprise data teams, how gather, store and protect data, release functions- Jenkins, Maven, CI/CD efforts
  • Cloud foundry knowledge helpful as is Unix/Linux  50-75\% hands on troubleshooting, building and driving the roadmap.  Must understand java system building (runs on apache)
  • On call, 1x every 5 weeks. not major issues
  • Enterprise is moving faster, higher velocity delivery cycle (2x/week)

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • 14 years’ Java experience as well as open source technologies
  • 3 years of AWS Cloud Computing in the DevOps model working with Ansible and Jenkins for CI/CD
  • Currently a Lead Technical Consultant on project at a major Omaha financial company, providing technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support
  • Experienced as Business interface and defining enterprise development practices
