Lead Sr. Software Engineer

Boston, MA

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead development team activities and projects to ensure tasks are performed efficiently and with high quality standards
  • Lead and participate in business meetings to identify objectives and develop a solution that will meet the company’s current and future objectives and needs
  • Lead and participate in developing a comprehensive and logical test plan to ensure appropriate tools and established standards are utilized
  • Lead the research, design and development of new application enhancements
  • Write design and project requirements which may include both preliminary and firm estimates of system requirements, benefits, personnel, costs, timelines, etc. for review by management
  • Lead the testing and evaluation of system requirements and enhancements, documenting findings for management and recommending solutions
  • Monitor and conduct regression testing in its entirety to ensure negative impacts do not result from development; participates in user acceptance testing
  • Code program based on system enhancements, modification requests, or new design specifications 
  • Keep up-to-date on new products, development tools, industry trends, and methodologies for incorporation into company solutions 
  • Serve as an escalation point for program support after implementation, which may include additional training, upgrades, or program enhancements

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field, Master’s Degree preferred, equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements
  • 10 years of increasingly responsible programming experience using a standard coding language and/or platform
  • 2 or more years of experience leading agile development teams on medium to large sized projects preferred
  • 2 - 3 years of experience working with cloud native applications and infrastructure
  • Strong time management skills
