CSS Staffing has an open position with our direct local client for an IS Security Analyst. Contract or Direct hire - Candidates must be eligible to work in the US on a W2 basis without sponsorship or visa transfer

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs and monitors internal and external vulnerability scans to ensure all systems are kept locked down
  • Audits and tracks access to company data and applications and report’s findings to management
  • Performs security reviews of 3rd party vendors. This includes physical site reviews of data centers
  • Assists in developing, testing, and implementing security plans, products, control techniques, and procedures in accordance with company security policies
  • Monitors security systems and documents possible threats or vulnerabilities 
  • Evaluates risk and recommends corrective actions to ensure data security
  • Maintains security policies and procedures and researches, recommends, and implements changes to procedures and systems to enhance data security
  • Reviews and tests all new system implementations to ensure they have met all security policies and standards
  • Maintains awareness of up-to-date threats and vulnerabilities and their respective countermeasures
  • Updates and maintains virus and spyware/malware protection systems
  • Maintains and reviews system log files 
  • Reviews employee access to various systems to ensure job related appropriateness
  • Responds to reported security violations and assists in Company-wide security awareness
  • Tests, documents, and reports security risks in new systems and applications
  • Assists in reviewing and completing audit/legal requests
  • Requirement to respond to, troubleshoot, and fix network incidents on a 24x7 on-call basis including late-night change windows
  • Conducts various projects as they apply to specific areas of responsibility
  • Provides level III user support that at times includes working non-scheduled hours 

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Associate degree in computer related field and/or equivalent job experience 
  • 3+ years experience supporting security based devices and software
  • 3+ years experience supporting varied computer networks and protocols
  • 2+ years working in a medium to large business environment
  • Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to be at work on a regular basis to support normal business hours
  • Knowledge of security devices and technologies such as: firewalls, intrusion detection systems, port scanners, vulnerability scanners, sniffers, malware management systems, email filters, encryption technology, and internet technologies
  • Knowledge of multiple network protocols such as: TCP/IP, TCP, UDP, and well-known ports on each
  • Broad-based working knowledge of networking, application, database, infrastructure and/or server administration
  • Ability to travel and work remotely when required
  • Skill in effective verbal and written communications
  • Must be resourceful, creative, innovative, results driven, and adaptable
  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills
