IT Business Systems Analyst Coordinator

Lincoln, NE


Core Responsibilities:

·         Develop and manage IT related contracts, manage the selection/development, installation and testing of new software, software upgrades, and server configuration, manage system planning and development, oversee technical components of software pilot testing, establish user account protocols, establish procedures for data access, security, privacy and integrity, conduct research for utilization of new technology, determine software and hardware needs for the system and answer technical questions specific to the application

·         Serve as the liaison between the business end users and applications developers

  • Responsible for working with the Syndromic Surveillance Event Detection (SSEDON) infrastructure to support Syndromic Surveillance use as a public health surveillance system component
  • Serve as functional lead on the business process to receive and process the Syndromic Surveillance public health surveillance data as it relates to the Opioid Crisis Response grant
  • Coordinating work efforts, prepares project/work plans, monitors work progress and prepare project progress report; confer with grant team to determine the business needs and requirements, analyze business processes, documents existing business process and proposed modified process and documents appropriate business rules, policies and standards
  • Communicate with the application developers the business requirements, develop business process solutions, system specifications, communicate with appropriate staff on identified malfunctions, may provide training/assistance to end users, analyzes business system operation/function solutions for feasibility, documents business system operation/functions and proposed changes/modifications, participates in system analysis and design, performs system testing and assists in database building and maintenance
  • Identify client needs and provide solutions


The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience diagnosing hardware, software and data quality related problems
  • Experience providing help desk/customer support and documentation
  • Experience with computer software applications and how you have supported and/or used them.
  • Experience with testing third-party software applications
  • Experience with the implementation of a new software application for customers
  • Experience with project management
  • Experience with data conversion when implementing a new software application
  • Experience with documenting existing business processes, proposed modified business processes and documenting business rules, policies and standards
  • Experience with database reporting tools, methodologies and your experience with SQL
