Java Developer - Back End

Omaha, NE

 

Candidates must be eligible to work in the US on a W2 basis without sponsorship or visa transfer

 

Back end Java developers needed for our client in Omaha, NE. Develop and maintain Server Side Java middle office applications that handle core business logic.  5+ years Java, strong concurrent and multi-threading experience, as well and Oracle database expertise.  If you also have strong skills in JMS, Spring, SQL, and DBC, you may be a great fit for this client.  Contract, contract to hire, and direct hire opportunities available.  

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Interpret business requirements and programming specifications
  • Confer with system analysts, managers, technical architecture personnel and internal clients
  • Develop and maintain Server Side JAVA applications that handle core business logic

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Concurrent programming /multi-threading in Java
  • Core business logic within applications
  • Oracle database
  • Java 5+ years
  • JMS experience
  • Relational Database Systems, SQL, JDBC, (and Oracle)
  • Spring Framework
  • Object Oriented Development concepts
  • UNIX/Linux operating systems
  • BS in Computer Science or closely related field or equivalent experience

 

  Desired

  • Utilizing an ORM, MyBatis
  • Experience with high-volume, real-time, on-line transaction processing
  • Experience with Oracle Coherence
  • Knowledge of business logic related to the brokerage industry and financial calculations
  • Familiarity and experience with Gang of Four Design patterns
  • Familiarity with development tools such as: Subversion, JIRA, Eclipse, Jenkins,  Confluence, Sonar, Junit, Maven, and Ant

  • Must be onsite for tech screen and interviews
