Windows Linux Level I Support

Omaha, NE

 

CSS Staffing has an open position with our direct local client for a Windows Linux Level I Support role.  If you are an experienced systems operator with demonstrated success, this may be the job you are looking for. Our client is a leader in their industry and is looking for the right person to join their team. 

 

Direct hire - Candidates must be eligible to work in the US on a W2 basis without sponsorship or visa transfer

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the Systems Administration team to include serving as a first level of escalation for system and application related problems and failures, responding to open trouble tickets, problems, or end user complaints and closing out trouble tickets when issues are resolved
  • Assists in developing new procedures aimed at making platform maintenance more effective and efficient, identifying processes that can be automated
  • Ensures processes and procedures are in place to perform system backups
  • Assists in updating and maintaining system documentation and local procedures

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Associates Degree in computer related field and/or equivalent job experience
  • Previous experience with Windows Operating Systems
  • Previous experience with Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems
  • Ability to be at work on a regular and predictable basis
  • Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers and various business contacts in  a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to analyze problems and identify alternative solutions
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail

 

Desired Skills:

  • Previous experience with the principles of systems administration
