Enterprise PaaS Security Engineer

Des Moines, IA

 

Direct hire - candidates must be eligible to work in the US on a W2 basis without sponsorship or visa transfer

 

Seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer who understands how to educate and influence developers to write code securely in the Cloud. This role will benefit from former PaaS experience as well as provide the opportunity for strategic thought leadership helping design CI/CD solutions and cloud architecture.

 

Core Responsibilities:

·         Assess and investigate security incidents

·         Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks

·         Participate as a member on the Threat Intelligence team

·         Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices

·         Develop and carry out information security plans and policies

·         Develop and assess security features of public cloud infrastructure

·         Participate as a member of the Computer Incident Response Team

·         Performs other job related duties and special projects

·         May assist with leading or advising the work of others. Primarily assisting in the development of other IT security professionals on the team

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

·         Experience with cloud architecture and security tools for cloud assets

·         Experience with AV software, intrusion detection, and firewalls

·         Experience with compliance and regulatory standards (PCI, HIPAA, etc.)

·         Experience with automation tools and security testing tools

·         The ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills

·         The ability to communicate IT security related issues and incidents to peers and management

·         Experience with secure development practices including CI/CD security tools

 

Desired:         

·         Background in computers, networking, or computer related security

·         Familiarity with the capabilities and use cases for routers; firewalls; switches; VPN; intrusion detection/prevention; file integrity monitoring; encryption; vulnerability scanning; and other information security related tools and countermeasures

·         Experience with PCI, HIPAA, and other industry audit and configuration standards
