Java Application Developer

Omaha, NE

 

Direct hire - candidates must be eligible to work in the US on a W2 basis without sponsorship or visa transfer

In this role you’ll get to participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (Agile), including development, testing, implementation and ongoing production support. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, organized, possess excellent problem-solving skills and have experience working on complex systems with multiple integration points.

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

·         Hands-on Java development experience

·         Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field OR be enrolled in a program with less than one year until graduation. Strong applicable experience may be taken into account in lieu of a degree.

 

Desired:

·         Hands-on web application development experience in a professional environment, to include JavaScript, HTML and CSS3 development experience

·         Testing background, including experience with JUnit/TestNGt, Test Driven Development, FitNesse/Cucumber testing

·         Continuous Integration experience with Jenkins/Hudson or similar tools

·         Version control experience with SVN/GIT or similar tools

·         Solid knowledge of Object Oriented development techniques and Java best practices

·         Exposure to Web services (REST) development

·         Strong understanding of SOA architecture and programming principles, including schema/interface design, JMS, JAXB2

·         Database/data engineering knowledge: Oracle (RAC), JDBC/Spring JDBC

·         Working experience with front-end UI development technologies such as Spring MVC, AngularJS, Grunt and/or Gulp, NodeJS/npm, Sass, Yeoman, Zurb Foundation

·         Experience with large scale projects and cross functional teams across distributed systems

·         Exposure to high availability and mission-critical architectures

·         Experience with various software development methodologies, including Agile

·         Familiarity with UI testing tools and standards

·         Ability to diagnose and resolve cross-browser compatibility issues
