The Business Proposal Strategist is responsible for all functions included in the execution of the proposal process to support growth initiatives. This entails crafting solutions and writing persuasive proposals for public and private sector clients to solve for their healthcare related challenges. The role leads the proposal strategy, development, writing and overall proposal management to create winning proposals. Assists with the development and execution of sales strategies to generate revenue growth and evaluation of new business opportunities.
Core Responsibilities:
· Proposal Development and Response Submission
· Lead proposal kick off meetings which includes but is not limited to:
o Manage question submission
o Build discriminators/win themes
o Identify and manage internal pursuit team resources (SMEs, proposal, pricing, resourcing)
o Creation and management of proposal timelines
· Build and maintain a positive working relationship with internal cross-cutting teams, peers, leadership and external teaming partners and consultants
· Lead strategic solution and storyboarding sessions along with proposal team reviews
· Write sections of proposals to drive winning client solutions to include:
o Executive Summary
o Technical Plan
o Management Plan
o Personnel Plan
o Risk Mitigation Plan
o Past Performance
· Create Compliance Matrixes to ensure proposal submissions are compliant with the applicable RFI/RFP instructions
· Collaborate with the marketing team to develop supporting proposal visual aids including, organization charts, process flow charts, and diagrams needed for proposal
· Ensure proper and timely communications among the proposal team throughout the proposal process
· Accountable for the development and continual improvement of proposal content library, templates, boilerplate materials, update CRM tool with proposal activity
· Develop and maintain in-depth expertise of client’s products and services including new service lines and emerging healthcare market trends
· Prepare management reviews and briefings as required in the capture life cycle
Capture Management
· Review and evaluate bid opportunities; assesses information required and coordinate with team according to internal procedures
· Maintain and continually refine capture management plan search criteria and filters to align with service, product lines and emerging market trends
· Conduct and analyzes business/market intelligence research including customer, competitive and teaming partners
Marketing Support
· Work with Marketing in the creation of client and prospect communications, whitepapers and business development messaging materials
· Assist in the development and writing of new marketing materials and presentations as needed
· Participate in additional sales related activities at the direction of Business Development leadership
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree In Journalism, Business, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years conducting proposal management and written responses required
- Experience with Healthcare preferred
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple writing assignments simultaneously
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
