 Anti-Phishing Analyst

Scottsdale, AZ

 

CSS Staffing has an open position with our direct client in Scottsdale, AZ for an Anti-Phishing Analyst who is highly detail orientated, information security focused (knowledge of malicious sites/emails, data protection basics) and is internet savvy and has the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work various queues to evaluate various malicious content reports, feeds, and determine if valid or a false positive
  • Use various internal and external tools to identify the best approach to neutralize the threat reported (includes but not limited to, phishing sites, malware sites, malicious email accounts, scam websites, etc.)
  • Email queue monitoring, professionally and correctly responding to various internal email distribution lists with security reports from internal customers and external email distribution lists that respond to our security notices 
  • Conduct regular outbound contacts to report malicious content via telephone and email 
  • Significant interaction with high level internal customers, as well as other departments and business units with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism 
  • Adhere to company guidelines for account confidentiality, and maintain the privacy and security of client, business units, and all customers 
  • Develop and maintain cross functional proficiency and working relationships with various internal and external departments/contacts 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience using various domain WHOIS (i.e. Domaintools.com, Networksolutions.com/WHOIS, etc.) and IANA IP lookup tools (arin.net, lacnic.net, afrinic.net, ripe.net, apnic.net) 

 

Desired skills:

  • Experience in PERL
  • Previous experience with hosting companies and domain registrars

 

Additional Information:     

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Assignment length: 1 year contract with possibility of extension
